Solutions For Hair Loss Treatment Can be Unique

Musicians and actors have always worried about solutions for hair loss treatment, because as performers, they may feel that they have to have a youthful image to maintain success under the watchful public eye.  Peter Gabriel (singer songwriter most famous for lead singer of the band Genesis and award winning solo artist), was one musician who was still in the spotlight in 1996, but going mostly bald.  At the same time, actors Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard) and Sean Connery (James Bond) were also still popular actors who worried about what kind of career they had left without much hair.

When Peter Gabriel noticed he had a growing bald spot in 1987 which was gradually meeting his receding hairline, the musician most known as the intelligent man of music went frantic trying to find solutions for hair loss treatment.  When questioned in 1988, he told reporters, “I know it’s only hair” but, in reality was starting to wonder if he was getting too old for his fans and maybe too old to be thought of as someone who was still on the cutting edge of music.

So, his solutions for hair loss treatment were at first conventional.  He tried Minoxidil, one of the most scientifically proven solutions for hair loss treatment for men and women in the world, but his hair never really achieved the results he was looking for.  At this time, he was still experiencing incredible success in the music business, but was still bothered by his older looking appearance.

So, in 1988, Peter grew what hair he had left past his shoulders, which is another popularly alternative hair loss solution.  As his hair was thinning, this had an effect that was best described as “quaint”.  Meanwhile, his bald spot was still growing and his hairline still straining to reach it.  During this time, Peter had personal problems and needed individual and group therapy.  The stress did not help his hair any, but he kept growing it anyway.  Finally, in1992, one of the final solutions for hair loss treatment that he considered was cutting it all off.

Although things went smoother for Peter’s personal and professional life, none of the solutions for hair loss treatment worked.  Finally, in 1996, he gave himself a military buzz cut) and has been mostly bald ever since.  When asked why he made such a drastic move he said, “Bald men put out more pheromones than more hirsute ones.”

Years later, he commented in an interview that he never regretted his choice of solutions for hair loss treatment.  “I like the feel when women rub their hands on my head,” he grinned, and the rest is music history.  Peter Gabriel has proven that even if you can’t find solutions for a hair loss treatment that works, you can still be attractive.
